We are delighted to announce Grain Sustainability’s inaugural event, and the first in our “Conversations on Sustainability” series.

Across all sectors, there is a rise in consumer demand for information and transparency about sustainability. Various types of labelling and certificates can be regulated, they can be a result of policy initiatives or industry body commitments — or they can be self-regulated or wholly voluntary.

Testifying to this complex landscape are more than 425 eco labels across all industries. As companies, how can we best communicate sustainability to benefit people, planet, and the bottom line? How can you help your clients and consumers navigate and make sense of all these schemes?

In this talk, we will take a closer look at particular sectors — food, homes, white goods, aviation, fashion — and walk through examples of labelling’s impact on purchasing behaviours and consumer feedback.

We will be joined by Max Yuzhnyy from Mondra, a data-driven insights platform that supports food system players to meet their carbon neutrality goals, communicate their performance and drive planet-positive profits. Max will illustrate the problems with current eco-labelling, and Mondra’s solution for food labels.

You will have a chance to ask questions in the last 15 minutes of the talk. The talk will be recorded, so if you can’t join us on the day, do sign up and we’ll send the recording to everyone after the event.
